Get Your Nik-On
Hala Wallah from Dubai!
You may have been following NOM∆D*’s Twitter and Facebook page about my trip in Dubai. I was invited by Nikon Middle East to be one of the first to view their brand-spanking new digital SLR camera, the D600. If you’re a camera geek, unlike me who’s too cool for school, click here to know more about the specs!
Last night was pretty interesting, to say the least. The event was held at the super lush Armani Hotel at the Burj Khalifa.

There were models, break dancers, a yellow Lambourghuini, ballerinas and a Marilyn Monroe look-a-like for guests to try out their cameras. In a room full of Nikons my poor little Sony Nex-5 camera was surely outnumbered.
It was a great night though, I met a few cool people and took photos for the blog (photos this week!). On top of that, I am now a proud owner of a pair of Nikon binoculars (it was part of the press kit). I am thisclose into being a certified peeping Tom.

Lastly, here’s a bonus photo! As I was heading towards Immigration at the Dubai Airport, I spotted this man wearing what seemed to be a cape with a gold chain dangling on his back. If you know whether if this is a “costume” or a traditional outerwear do let me know! I think it looks pretty dope to be wearing that at the airport, don’t you think?
